Frequently Asked Questions

How can I pay for my ride?

When you make your reservation, you will receive an estimated fare. You may pay in cash when you board the vehicle, or by debit or credit card over the phone or in the vehicle.

Can I bring a companion?

Yes. A companion, caregiver, family member, or friend may ride with you at no additional cost.

What types of mobility devices can I bring?

You may bring a cane, walker, or folding wheelchair. We do not transport electric wheelchairs or mobility scooters.

Can I bring an oxygen tank or medical device?

Yes. Portable oxygen tanks and medical devices are allowed. Our drivers do not handle or adjust this equipment, so you or your caregiver must make sure it is properly prepared for the trip.

Can I stop by the pharmacy on the way back?

Yes, but a waiting fee of 80 cents per minute will apply and will be added to the cost of your trip. If you paid in advance, this additional fee must be paid when you arrive home.

Can we stop at a drive-thru to get some food?

No. For medical-related considerations, only pharmacy stops are allowed.

Can I request trips that aren’t for medical appointments?

Yes. Point-to-point trips are allowed even if they are not for medical reasons. The no drive-thru policy still applies.

Can you take me to recreation centers or public places?

Yes. We can take you under the same payment system we use for other trips. If you participate in a city-subsidized program, please check that program's rules and authorized transportation providers.

Can I bring a certified service animal?

Yes. Trained or certified service animals, such as guide dogs, are welcome to accompany you on your trip.

Is this a reservation-based service?

We prefer that you call at least 24 hours in advance, although we can also accommodate same-day trips. When needed, we may use outside transportation providers.

What happens if I forget to cancel my appointment?

A cancellation fee will apply and must be paid to the driver. This fee helps cover scheduling, route planning, driver assignment, and vehicle-related costs.

How far in advance should I cancel to avoid a fee?

Please cancel at least one hour before your scheduled pickup time.

If I do not know what time my appointment will end, will you wait for me?

If you are unsure of your return time, call us when you are finished and we will coordinate your pickup. When possible, we try to keep drivers near medical areas.

What if my dialysis session is not finished when my driver arrives?

There is no delay charge for dialysis trips. We will leave a card with the dialysis staff to let them know we came for you. Once your treatment is finished, you can call us and we will return to pick you up.

Is the service available 24 hours a day?

Yes. We offer service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including holidays. Prices may vary depending on trip distance and holiday demand.
